what the FUCK replacing Reina with some egg in the Aa! group. This so better not be true. o_o
Edit: Excuse me while I listen to FIRST KISS on repeat while weeping. </3
So. I'm sick. Also bored. Nathan went to watch a movie, and I'm playing through Final Fantasy IX to pass the time. Good times. :D
Also stoked about Left 4 Dead 2. I'm totally buying that shit in November. <3
I'm considering getting a PSP. Not because any of the original games for it seem appealing; mainly because I can download Playstation Network games to it. I'm looking at you, RE: Director's Cut. <3
I noticed the game case for the new Kingdom Hearts game at GameStop yesterday. I kind of want it; I just hope it isn't a spin-off piece of crap.
Yesterday I went to my house and fetched my GameCube and started playing the hell out of REmake. Now I remember why this is one of my favorite resident evil games. <3
In a not gaming related note, the first day of my internship is on Thursday. Woot. :)
Anyways, I just bought some awesome synthesized weapons in ff9 and it's time for the festival of the hunt. <3
The guy that I had been emailing a week or so ago about an internship finally got back to me today! He decided to hire me. :D
I've already put in my two weeks at Arby's. Since the managers there (except maybe one or two <3) are rude for no reason and extremely immature despite their ages, I was expecting them to give me a hard time about suddenly quitting in two weeks, but they were surprisingly nice about it and congratulated me and such. Not working at Arby's is going to be AWESOME. XD Also my starting pay is going to be almost 2 dollars more than my pay at my current job. woot.
Anywhoo, as today was the last day of school there were lots of snacks out in the hallway :D I stocked up on snacks and soda and watched Let's Play Silent Hill on youtube. There were many lulz. <3 Also, some guys in my class brought a Xbox 360 and a Wii. We played Smash Brothers Brawl, Team Fortress 2 and Zelda. :D
On a random note, my support specialist on Killing Floor is almost level 4. AWESOME 8D. I also found servers where there are over 50 people playing at once, as opposed to the normal 6 people playing at once.
I've also really been getting into anime again. Started watching Kuroshitsuji (omg greil is so lol. also loving the undertaker), Pandora Hearts (OH MY GOD GIL IS SO ADORABLE :|), FMA: Brotherhood (stfu fullmetal alchemist is a guilty pleasure of mine), and continuing to watch One Piece (up to episode 401, ftw!) :D
It seems every time a new game comes out via Steam, I completely forget about the one I was addicted to before. You guys may remember me freaking out about Plants vs. Zombies a while ago, but that was so two weeks ago!
For the past week or so, I've been playing the shit out of Killing Floor. It's similar to Left 4 Dead, but instead of zombies there are experiments. Depending on how long your game is, you have a certain number of waves. Every wave the number of experiments increases, and the more difficult experiments show up depending on how late you are in the game. And for the very final wave, you get to fight the Patriarch. Think big dude with sexy nerd glasses, a mustache and a gattling gun arm thing. He also refers to the experiments as his children. o_O If you're playing on anything besides beginner, prepare to get raped. This guy has a gattling gun and a rocket launcher. And this weird chest thing that rapes you even harder.
Between every wave you get 1:00-1:30 (depending on your difficulty) to haul ass to the trader and buy weapons, buy ammo, armor, etc.
also, there are perks. Which I guess are like classes. Theres field medic, sharpshooter, support specialist, firebug, etc. Depending on your perk, you get discounts on certain weapons. For example, the firebug gets a certain percentage discount on the flame thrower depending on their level.
I'm sure theres something I'm forgetting... Umm...So basically, it's fun as hell. :o
This is the first weekend in months that I've had both Saturday AND Sunday off. I'm extremely excited. :)
I've been really busy for the past several days, which is why I haven't been posting as much. You see, I ended up making a Wordpress theme for this lady in my class. She is getting paid to make a company's website, but she's not very good at designing, so she thought she'd go out and find her a WP theme to use. I ended up going to her house to help her get her content sorted out and such. And, oh my lord, the WP theme she was going to use was freaking HIDEOUS and impossible to customize, with all the images and such. So I turned to her and said, "You know, I could most definitely make a WP theme from scratch for you that's loads better than this." And that's what I did. I got $50 out of it. :p
Anywho, today at school we had an industry panel, where people from the web industry sat and we asked them questions and such. And it was super interesting. I was so into it the entire time. I was actually sad when the bell rang. :(
Anyways, the guy who I've been emailing for the past couple of days about a internship was there, so we chatted and he said to call him this afternoon. I did that, and then he asked if I could email him some code samples. He also asked when I'd be able to start, how many hours I'd like to work, and said that so far, things are looking very good! I'm excited. I can't wait until he emails me back again. If things go well, I'll never have to work at Arby's again. <3
It feels strange to see my fandoms colliding like this. XD
Not translated by me, obviously. :p
My first encounter with the Final Fantasy series (FF) was when my parents bought FFIV for the Super Famicon (SNES, or Super Nintendo Entertainment System for everyone else ). While my father was engrossed in playing it, I begged him to let me play it too, but since I was still young then, he didn't allow me to touch it. But after that, I was able to make my FF debut with the Playstation version of FFVI! Even after entering Morning Musume and having to work hard, I still kept on playing it. I have cleared each and every game in the series at least twice I think.
So I was waiting and hoping for the day a new FF game would be released. When I learned about "Dissidia Final Fantasy", I went immediately to the nearest store on the day of release and bought it on the spot. *laughs*
The charm of this game, simply put, is that the characters from FFI all the way to FFXII appear in it. My favorites like VI's Terra, IX's Zidane, and X's Tidus etc appearing in the same game, that makes it quite difficult for me. *laughs* Even the originally pixelated characters were beautifully animated in the opening CG animation scene, and they even talk in the game! My tension went up from level 1 to 100 from that! After calming down from the initial excitement, I started on the story mode. After picking the picking the 2-starred difficulty level FFX's episode to begin with, I cleared that "Destiny Odyssey" twice in one go. Right now, I'm currently challenging Shade Impulse's Chapter 3. When I beat an enemy, my tension goes all the way up, and I'll tell my manager "I won!". When my manager came to take a look, I guess he/she (gender not mentioned) didn't understand what was going on.
Basically, I like the command battle system. It's easy to move around, but there are characters with movesets that I'm not used to, and so at those times, I'll be in for some tough battles. Personally, I am best at using Butz since I win really easily with him.
I play this game the most while I'm in the bath. Of course, I also play while I'm waiting inside the dressing room, but the people who play this around me are very few, so I can't enter Online Play mode nor have any experience with the Friend Card transmission system... Eh!? You'll play me in online battle? Yay~!!
...In the end I shall shortly play against Nojima (who is also interested in this game) in a vs battle.
Kya~! I won! And I got it! "Growing Egg" and "Manekineko" (game items ). With this I'll be able to win and advance some more. Thank you!! Ah. But, I'll have to stay in the bath for long periods of time now~ But since it's fun it's ok!
Yay, CDs! I've actually had two of these for a couple of weeks, but the last one came yesterday when I realized I never photographed the two that came before it...but yeah. I'm happy! :D
The top one is FictionJunction YUUKA - Kouya Ruten (sound familiar? :3), the left one is Buono! - MY BOY, and the right one is FictionJunction YUUKA - Akatsuki no Kuruma. All three of them are epic singles. <3
Edit: Somehow I never realized that Blessing was the c/w track on Kouya Ruten. That's like one of my favorite FJ YUUKA songs. :3
I got an email back :D
Thanks for the quick response back. I believe I’ll actually be over at Francis Tuttle this upcoming Wednesday so if you’re there – great I’d love to meet you. I’ll be meeting there at the advisory committee.
This is indeed a paid internship and in terms of hours – we are more than open. 30-40 hours is completely doable and even more if you would like. We have many different areas and diverse clients so the skill sets across the company are extremely varied.
When are you available for a call? I’d love to discuss more of this and answer any questions you may have.
He seems pretty interested. :D
